A Freedom-Centered Culture levels the “playing field.” By eliminating titles and hierarchy and focusing on skill sets to get the job done, the feeling of competition and “one-up-manship” becomes extinct. A spirit of teamwork is born and a respect for individual talents rather than envy. Everyone becomes a stakeholder in the organization and as such, have a vested interest in the best outcomes for the organization. Organizational Democracy opens us to sharing the processes and not placing blame, but rather trying to learn from the situations that don’t work as expected. By not finger pointing, the trust is built to encourage everyone to participate wholly and speak freely. Once there is trust, the rest seems to follow naturally.
