Freedom at Work

Labyrinth Learning is a powerful example of how freedom transforms a workplace: just three years ago, their 15-person company faced a toxic culture, five layers of hierarchy, strained relationships, and no executive team. After embracing Freedom at Work, they rebuilt around organizational democracy rather than command-and-control—flattening to two levels, creating a leadership team, democratically writing a purpose and vision statement, and democratizing hiring and bonuses. With regular Town Halls and company-wide voting on major decisions, every employee now has a real voice and feels valued and aligned. The impact is clear: revenue is up 24%, earnings up 193%, and average compensation up 35%. The organization is stronger, healthier, and more successful than ever.

Labyrinth Learning is proudly celebrating its second year as a WorldBlu certified Freedom-Centered Organization.

Why They're a
Freedom-Centered Organization

For many years, we had a hierarchical organizational structure with a command-and-control, fear-based leadership style. This resulted in decision-making being concentrated at the top of the hierarchy, unnecessary management positions being created, conflict among employees, and an overall reduction in creativity and innovation.

Since moving to a Freedom-Centered Leadership style and organizational design, we have eliminated unnecessary positions, freed up all of our employees to be creative and innovative, and friction between employees has been largely eliminated.

We’ve created a company where people love to work with rising revenue, earnings, and employee compensation. We’ve seen revenue increase by 24%, earnings increase by 193%, and average employee compensation increase by 35%.

Our organization is now much more scalable, and we’re creating a company where people love to work.
