Through interviews with the companies’ CEOs, the article discusses the advantages of using open book management and the positive results of the practice on the companies’ financial situation and on employee engagement.
The article states that many “executives fear that competitors will learn sensitive information if they open their books to employees, and some think their workers have little to offer. But proponents say open book management makes healthy companies more efficient—and can save a company in distress.”
