WorldBlu - Freedom at Work

Is Your Organization One of the Most Freedom-Centered Workplaces in the World?

Freedom Centered Workplace

The highest standard in organizational design.

We celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the WorldBlu List of Freedom-Centered Workplaces in 2016. Now we are preparing the 2017 list. Join us and see how nearly 200 companies and over 1 million people around the world have been impacted by the creation of freedom-centered, democratic workplaces.

Each year, WorldBlu recognizes this outstanding achievement with our annual WorldBlu List of Most Freedom-Centered Workplaces (formerly The WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces), which garners press attention from hundreds of media outlets worldwide every year.

Certification is achieved when a company takes The Freedom at Work Scorecard and scores a 3.5/5 or higher.

The Freedom at Work Scorecard is the only diagnostic tool in the world that measures your organizational design (compared to employee satisfaction or engagement). It’s been used by over 250,000 employees worldwide in companies such as Zappos, DaVita, The WD-40 Company and HCL Technologies to assess their overall organizational design on a fear-based to freedom-centered continuum.

The Freedom at Work Scorecard helps you focus on where you should put time and resources, maps out a path to transformation and clarifies important bottom-line benchmarks.

Practicing the WorldBlu freedom-centered principles delivers significant shareholder value – and a happy, high performing team environment. When we set out to create Inktank, the startup spun off from DreamHost, we built in freedom-centered practices throughout the organization. The Inktank team were able to go from zero to a $175MM sale in just over two years.
– Simon Anderson, CEO of DreamHost and Chair of Inktank

We embrace Freedom at Work at DaVita Healthcare Partners because it’s fundamental to being a community first and a company second.
– Kent Thiry, CEO + Mayor, DaVita

What I enjoy most about working in a freedom-centered workplace is the prevalence of dignity and respect for the individual. These qualities of our culture are simply freeing. For me, they remove some of the unnecessary distractions of uncertainly and fear that prevent us from being our personal best.
– Andrew Maynard, Director of Strategic Supply Chain Management, The WD-40 Company

Businesses that practice Freedom at Work are more nimble, resourceful and actively maximize their human potential.
– Kim Jordan, CEO, New Belgium Brewing
